Basic, sleeveless dress

I started with my basic sleeveless bodice pattern and added 14” length, plus 18” zipper down the back.

My goal is to make a sleeveless blue jeans dress similar to the photo below.

GOAL

2nd sewn version. I used pattern (v7) but then modified the dress after it was sewn. I took in 1” on each side. Includes 18” zipper. Bustline is a little tight and need to work on the smoothness down the sides around waist and hips.

3rd sewn version. I tried to replicate the changes I made to the previous dress and turned that into pattern (v8). Now, waist is too small, makes it hard to slip over my hips. Bust is tight and there is a gather of fabric at the small of my back. Includes 18” zipper.
